CHECK OUT HIS MUSIC AND WEBSITE

We recently had a chance to chat with Nano Whitman and asked him to tell us a little about himself and here’s what Nano had to say…

I identify strongly with the city where i live… Austin really feels special right now.  There is growth, there is support, and there is an audience for the creatively well done.  I just want to be surrounded by that kind of environment and i want to help create it. I play piano and sing..i’m a hack guitarist, but i get by.  Singing in harmony with others is my most favorite part of music, my favorite thing.  I’ve been singing with my buddy, Shane, for about 7 years…he’s like the lead guitarist, but he is a background singer.  It’s fun. My favorite musician is Paul Simon  and my favorite singer of all time is Freddie Mercury.  I am a Beatles guy more than a Stones guy.  Other important people are Elliott Smith, Mason Jennings and Regina Spektor. If i can write songs half as good as the best work of those people and i get to share them with others and make that my life’s work, i’ll be ever grateful.

Now…on with today’s Flavor Explosion…Nano Whitman has said he is deeply obsessed with tacos and so I decided to use this as my dessert inspiration. I figured why not make a taco inspired salted caramel dessert…yummy !!!
