Korean BBQ Beef Short Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
- One and half to two pounds Korean style beef short ribs
- 1/2 cup Coconut Aminos
- 1 small Asian pear, grated
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for marinade
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish if you like
- Japanese or Jasmine Rice ( to serve and cook according to package directions)
Note: I went to the international market to get most of my supplies if I didn’t have them at home, particularly the beef short ribs. International market or Asian market is where it’s at.
Directions
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over beef and let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. In a mixing bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients except the rice. Put the beef in a large gallon sized zip lock bad and add marinade. Make sure there’s no air in the bags and seal them. Turn the ziplock bag over several times to get the marinade evenly coated on the beef. Refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat grill to medium high heat. Add short ribs to grill and cook each side for about 3 minutes. Flip each side one time.
- Serve immediately with favorite sides like rice, Kimchi, sesame leaves, jalapenos, green onions or whatever strikes your fancy. Enjoy!
